Thanksgiving DayRACE POSTPONED:
In close collaboration with Newaygo County Emergency Services, the Fremont Police Department, the City of Fremont, and the National Weather Service, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2025 Tamarac Turkey Trot due to the current winter storm warning.
We understand this news is disappointing; however, the safety of our participants, volunteers, and community remains our top priority. This decision was made with great care and consideration.
A new race date is being planned for the spring, and we will share additional details as soon as they are available.
Packet pick-up will continue today until 6:00 p.m., and tomorrow from 8:00–10:00 a.m. at Tamarac. Please note that packets not picked up will not be mailed.

No day of race registrations.
Shirt and size guaranteed through October 15.
2025 shirts are a unisex crewneck sweatshirt to celebrate the 15th anniversary.
Race Details
This is a family event; dogs and strollers are welcome!
Open course event. Children need to be supervised by responsible adult during the race. Children that will remain in a stroller for the entire race do not need to register. However, if they will be walking/running on the course at any time, the must be a registered participant.
Tamarac is able to offer this community event in partnership with Newago County Emergency Services, the Fremont Police Department and the City of Fremont. We sincerely thank these organizations for their service and commitment to making this a fun and safe event for everyone.
IMPORTANT RACE INFORMATION
NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION (last day to register is Wednesday, November 26 before 11:59 pm.)
Packet Pick-Up:
You may come to Tamarac to pick up your race packet on:
-Monday, November 24: 9 am to 7:00 pm
-Tuesday, November 25: 9 am to 7:00 pm
-Wednesday, November 26: 9 am to 7:00 pm
-Race Day: 6:30 am to 7:45 am
Race start times:
-10K 8:00 am
-5K 8:05 am
-1.5 mile immediately following the 5K
Race Changes: If you have decided to change what race you want to participate in, please stop at the race change table and notify us of the change before the start of the race.
Race Shirts were guaranteed through October 15. Race shirts & sizes will be distributed in race packets, as available, after that date.

Courses start and end in the Tamarac parking lot. Building is open race day from 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
Finish/Awards and Results:
All participants will receive their finisher medal when they cross the finish line.
-10K and 5K overall awards and masters’ awards
-10K first in age group
-5K top three in age group
-Kids 5K top three in age group
Times will be posted on Facebook and RunSignUp.
Reminders:
Turkey Trot has record breaking numbers registered to run/walk this year with close to 700 participants. Please follow race etiquette rules posted to make sure everyone has a positive experience on race day.
Tamarac’s building will be open from 6 am to 11 am.
Restrooms will be available, located in the front lobby behind the fireplace.
Vehicles need to be parked at the South side of the main parking lot or in the West parking lot.
As always, strollers and dogs are welcomed. Retractable leashes are NOT allowed on the course.
Please remember this is an open road course race with live traffic. Please abide by normal traffic regulations and listen to the direction of course support safety volunteers.
Walkers, please stay on the sidewalks.
Course support ends at 9:30 am. Please ensure you reach Stone Road by that time.
First aid station will be located in the timing tent area near the finish line. Emergency services will be available throughout the course.
Water station will be available on route for 10K runners in Branstrom Park.
Refreshments Provided:
Located in Tamarac Conference Rooms.
Granola bars, bananas, and string cheese will be provided to race participants after the race.
Awards
All participants will receive a finisher gift upon crossing the finish line.
