At Tamarac, we want you to be happy and excited about life!

What Is a Wellness Coach?

Wellness coaches give their clients the motivation and tools they need to achieve healthy goals to encompass:

  • Emotional
  • Intellectual
  • Social
  • Spiritual
  • Financial
  • Occupational
  • Physical
  • Environmental

Just about everyone has a vision of his or her ideal life. It’s a goal of wellness coaches to provide the incentive and direction their clients need to improve their health, well-being, careers, relationships and lives.

Unlike a nutritionist or personal trainers, who make specific diet and exercise recommendations, a wellness coach will help you make better general choices that fit within your lifestyle. Now is the time to remove any barriers standing in your way that keep you from regular exercise and a healthy diet.

Why Would I Need a Personal Wellness Coach?

There are a variety of reasons people turn to a wellness coach for help. Consider looking for a coach if you:

• Need guidance on moving forward in your career

• Want to learn how to take advantage of strengths and talents

• Don’t know what to do about a major life decision

• Don’t have an acceptable work-life balance

• Are overstressed

• Aren’t as healthy as you’d like to be

Wellness coaches will show you the steps to take and give encouragement to reach your goals including:

• Overcoming obstacles

• Losing weight

What Happens During Wellness Coaching Sessions?

Through questions your coach asks, you’ll define your goals as well as challenges that stand in your way of achieving success.

Your coach will help you outline the steps needed to achieve your goals and develop a care plan as a tool to achieve optimal results.

Achieving your personal goals won’t happen overnight or after just one session; it’s a process but your wellness coach will offer support and guidance along the way. He or she will hold you accountable for achieving your goals. In most cases you’ll work with your coach for a period of a few months or longer.
