Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial is proud to partner with every K-5 public school in Newaygo County bringing CATCH to our students.
The Coordinated Approach to Child Health is a national health and wellness program based on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention model where health education, school environment, and family-community involvement work together to launch youth toward healthy lifestyles through nutrition education and physical activity.
Through CATCH Gerber Memorial provides nutrition and physical activity focused education to over 3,000 students in Newaygo County, improving the environment and food offerings in school lunch rooms, and the development of district-wide wellness committees who focus on policy change in the schools.
